I've Got a Feeling: Love Your ClientsEver heard the phrase, “I’ve Just Got This Feeling”?

I consider this a motto to live by. Why? Because some of the most fun and creative opportunities we’ve had here at Redman come when we’ve “clicked” with clients on a more personal level. If you can have fun while working, the outcome is almost always better, and the experience is definitely more rewarding.

This is true in the Real Estate business as well. Why be everything to everyone when you don’t have to?

Can you be everything to everyone and still be successful? Sure! If you work hard enough of course you can. But wouldn’t it be more rewarding to work with clients who you genuinely enjoyed spending time with? I think so!

Everyone has worked with a client they just don’t click with, and engaging with them can quickly become stressful. Working with people you don’t like takes up a lot of energy, and most of the time it seems like you’re fighting a losing battle.

Attracting the right kid of clients has more benefits beyond just work morale:

More Leads. If your clients feel a genuine connection with you, they are far more likely to tell their friends about the experience and about how well you helped them buy or sell their home. This will help you further attract other like-minded individuals.

Less Effort. By working with people who really “get” you and appreciate what you do, you won’t have to expend as much energy making people happy or convincing them of your worth.

Happier. You will get more pleasure out of doing what you do, resulting in a happier state of mind and more positive outlook on your life and business.

More Money. Success comes to those that work hard and carve out their own niche. Money is the reward when you serve people well.

So now that you know why you should work with clients that you click with. The real question is how do you find them? The first step is figuring out your niche: what makes you different from the pack? What makes your service stand out? What kind of client do you prefer to work with?

In my next post, I’ll discuss the values of niche marketing. Stay tuned!
