Blogs are an incredible way to share ideas, show off your industry knowledge, and get leads.
1. Define Your Target
Who are you hoping to talk to? The more specific you can be the better. For example, you may work primarily with first-time sellers in Downtown Edmonton, between 25-45. Think about some frequently asked questions and resources this target audience may find helpful. The more you can appeal to your target audience, the more effective your blog will become and the more leads it will generate.
2. Be an Expert
People want to know they are getting their information from the best – so be the best. You can use phrases like “in my experience”, or better yet, case studies and facts to back up your statements. This not only makes you a more credible writer, it also helps with your SEO.
3. Offer Giveaways
I am sure we have mentioned before, that offering a contest or giveaway is a great way to generate leads, follows, likes, etc. but it cannot be stressed enough. Use your blog to gain leads through a giveaway or contest. It is one marketing tactic that is tried, tested and true, and perhaps, even more true for your online users who aren’t always easy to engage with.
4. Include a Call To Action
When writing a blog post, think about what you would like your user to do once they have read it. Do you want them to contact you? Read other posts? Think about that near the end of your post and then add it.
5. Measure Your Results
It is hard to gauge how effective your blogging is unless you measure aspects such as viewership and engagement. One of the great tools for this is Google Analytics. You can track conversions by comparing your page views to your lead captures. You can also see bounces, unique visitors, and how long someone spends reading the post. All of this information can be compared to previous posts to gain an understanding of what your readers are interested in and what works for you.
All of this sounds well and good, but what if you don’t have time to write your blog posts? Or, what if you are just running out of ideas? Redman’s got you covered with our Blogging Packages that include different levels of service to fit your needs.
