It’s never too late to kick-start or boost your marketing efforts. A well established Marketing Plan not only helps you generate more leads, but it also leaves a lasting impression on your clients. While word-of-mouth is nice, can anyone find you without it? Put some thought into the following areas whenever you look at your marketing plan:
- First Impressions Count. When it comes to real estate, you want to leave a lasting impression with your potential clients. Focus on what sets you apart, i.e: fierce negotiation skills, home selling guarantee, or luxurious experience. Ask yourself, “WHY would they want to choose me as their agent?”
- Be creative. Don’t always use, “I’m the number agent in…” What’s more desirable to clients is knowing HOW they benefit by choosing you. Remember that real estate marketing is not one-size-fits-all, it’s about showcasing YOUR brand in the best light possible.
- Professional Isn’t Cheap & Easy. That’s right! If you want to give your potential clients a positive first impression, it will take time and money. Whether it is with print advertisements, your real estate website, or your logo. Think of it as an investment with a guaranteed return.
- If You Do It Yourself, Do It Right. Too many times I see good agents cutting corners to save money on their marketing. The result? Clip art icons on their marketing materials, stretched photos on their website, and poorly designed logos. Word or Publisher templates should never be used for any Design work. - Content, Content, Content. Good content will do wonders for your real estate website! Search engines (like Google) favour sites with informative, useful, and original content. If you’re on a budget, take a session for help on your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Plan and give it a try. (Yes, you can do this one yourself)
- Get Onboard With Social Media. It will help your online presence, SEO, networking, and marketing reach. It’s also much easier to use than you think! Try taking a Social Media training session to develop or improve your skills and knowledge.
Above all, a strong Marketing Plan begins with YOU. Step outside of your comfort zone and push for out-of-the-box thinking. Don’t be intimidated, your friends here at Redman can provide you with many resources and support along the way!
