It started on the Toronto Freeman Real Estate website, and will expand to Calgary and Edmonton in the New Year. Our interactive and dynamic search tool has been upgraded and revamped, making Toronto property searches easier.
The face-lift began with the horizontal tool bar above the map; which also transformed into a sticky bar when navigating through the site using a smaller browser. Our tool was morphed to operate as an interactive map and a text list of communities. Users that want to search using the map can do so, by simply highlighting each community. Highlighted areas appear on the text list of communities and vice versa. As more communities are selected, the number of property listings changes. Whether its a condo, apartment or commercial property, searches can be targeted to any of them.
The development of this fresh and interactive Toronto property search was no easy task. Our talented Redman team faced challenges along the way and worked very hard. They created low level Toronto neighbourhood data and sorted neighbourhoods by longitude and latitude, with the option to hide roads and landmarks. What resulted was a visually appealing and easy to use property search. We are proud to say that our Toronto and Area property search is one of the first capable of searching in specific neighbourhoods for Toronto properties.
There’s more! Our future endeavours will lead us in developing an even better property search. In the 3rd phase of this project, we plan to further expand and customize the map. This includes providing core website clients the ability to alter colours on the map. In the New Year, our search tool’s makeover will be available in Calgary and Edmonton. We’ll then expand it to all of our service areas. Exciting stuff!
