This summer Redman had the pleasure of working with “The Team“, a real estate company that specializes in buying and selling Central Alberta real estate including homes, acreages and farms. The Team is comprised of Mr. George Johanson, his wife Marie Johanson, and their daughter Wanda Nielsen. Combined they have been working in real estate for almost 20 years providing their clients with personalized service and and attention.
During the early stage of the project, Redman’s design team worked with The Team to determine key features needed to make the TheTeam.Com a success.
It was decided that an emphasis on easily accessible custom community information; buying and selling guides; and rural searches that would allow The Team’s clients to easily view MLS® Listings in the Central Alberta area would be the best elements to elevate the site.

Easily Accessible Custom Community Information

George and his team created an extensive library of information about the communities they specialize in. For each community they covered everything from the geography, typography, population, economics, recreation, outdoor activities, public services, education and retail venues. To make the content highly visible and easily accessible, Redman added direct navigation in the sites main header, a side navigation that allows users to move seamlessly through the content and call-to-actions within the text to further move users through related content.

Buying and Selling Guides

In addition to the custom community information pages, TheTeam.Com created a comprehensive set of Buying and Selling Guides. Topics covered in the guides ranged from ownership rights to home security and selling strategies. To make the guides effective and usable, Redman split the guides into chapters and sections labeled on a right-sided navigation found on every page. The addition of the buyer and seller guides not only adds helpful resources for The Team’s clients, the custom copy they contain is a great boost for TheTeam.Com’s SEO.

Rural Searches

To give their clients access to the latest MLS® listings for rural and acreage properties, custom search options were added to two key areas. Widgets nested in a sleek slider allow users to search listings with specific attributes including lot size in acres and properties closest to specific towns or areas. In the main navigation, links to search forms for specific areas were added to give clients effortless access to search those listings. By adding the searches to the main navigation TheTeam.Com is able to showcase a unique resource for their site.

The Team with the help of Redman Technologies created a site that had easily accessible custom information about the main Central Alberta Communities, detailed buying and selling guides, and accessible rural searches.
