Movember is a unique and creative way to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues and as a result Movember teams around the globe having been putting their own spin on the wildly popular campaign.
With full participation from each Redman staff member, we hoped to raise some money and have some fun. Well, what ended up happening was over whelming and heart warming. Our friends, families and clients stepped up, to the tune of $3259!!! Our “Mo Masquerade” was a smashing success thanks to beautiful ambience created by Rouge Lounge and some wonderful live music by Black Stone and Tatam Reeves. Now that the faces are shaved and the money’s been raised, we wanted to pay tribute to some other real “Mo-Tivator’s”
Shadow Box Studios: These guys (and gals) set up a 2-day Moustache photography marathon! $50 dollars got you an amazing portrait package (Not to mention yummy mustache cookies) and proceeds were donated to the Movember cause. Crimson Empire Tattoo: Well this team took an approach to Movember that left a lasting impression… Mustache Tattoos. Yes, mustache tattoo’s on the inside of your index finger. $75 (Proceeds of which went to Prostate Cancer Canada) bought you a Movember you wont soon forget.
The Edmonton Oilers: According to their website they’ve raised over $39,000 since 2009. Everyone from the ice to the equipment room comes out and from the looks of things, one doesn’t have to be superstar to rock a fundraiser!
A huge thanks goes out to everyone who helped to make Canada the world leader for Movember contributions this year!
